Plot Outline: Cherd Songsri adapted the story from the novel by Mai Muengderm. PLOY TALAE takes place on a small island, where Rung lives with his ailing mother. Rung is in love with Kratin, but Kratin’s parents want her to marry another man. When Rung salvages a precious gemstone from the depths of the sea, he entrusts it with Kratin. But fate intervenes and causes a series of separations and reunions that will test the true worth of Rung’s love.
