Biography :
Manop Udomdej studied film production from a priest at Xavier Hall, Bangkok. In 1981, his directorial debut, In the Fringe of Society, was aimed as a teaching material and public relations media of a Catholic organisation. Beyond expectation, the film won interest of students, scholars, and the police simultaneously. In 1985, he directed the film Yaa Pror Mee Choo, which proudly preceded and thus guaranteed quality of the following: Krang Deaw Gor Gern Phor, The Dumb Die Fast, the Smart Die Slow, Peang Kwam Kao Jai and Beyond Forgiving, all of which won awards. His latest film Macabre Case of Prompiram, won the 2003 Best Picture Suphannahong Award. |
